Black Fire/Andrew Hill

The other day I was listening to the LP 'Black Fire' by the man in the picture above, Andrew Hill, and there's a little bit in one of his tracks, 'Tired Trade' I think, where the bassist, Richard Davis, is going on absolute rinse out around one set melody.

Anyway, I couldn't get it out of my head and was inspired to try and make a track around the melody etched on my skull. A couple of days later I'd come up with this track 'For A. Hill'
